Yolanda’s Hair Design is a family-owned and operated business. My wife, Yolanda, and her father, Salvatore, opened the salon 20 years ago in Pittsburgh’s Little Italy section known as Bloomfield. I started running the salon with my beautiful and talented wife in 2001. Now we operate the salon together with our two incredible kids.
Daniel, 9, is a pretty good ice hockey player who also enjoys building Legos. Our daughter, Sarah, 6, dreams of becoming a competitive figure skater (which she is already very successful at) or a kindergarten teacher. But we plan to keep the business in our family for another generation because Sarah has also talked about taking over the salon when she gets older.
